What we found

We searched for "Free Anglican Church of Kenya" together with Bungoma, for the bare word "freeanglicanchurch", and for the name alongside the given contact person on Facebook, and none of these returned any page, directory listing, map entry, news item or denominational record for a body by this name in Bungoma or anywhere in Kenya. Every result instead pointed to the established Anglican Church of Kenya and its Diocese of Bungoma (anglicancommunion.org, ackenya.org, the ACK Facebook page), which is a different and long-registered body led by Bishop George W Mechumo, and we found no sign that the applicant is linked to it. The given address freeanglicanchurch.go.ke did not appear in any search result, and we found no matching page on common site builders such as simdif.com, wixsite.com, weebly.com or blogspot.com. Our conclusion: The web address supplied, freeanglicanchurch.go.ke, could not be opened and an independent search found no page, listing or record for a Free Anglican Church of Kenya in Bungoma, with results instead pointing to the separate and long-established Anglican Church of Kenya Diocese of Bungoma. However, in response to our request the congregation supplied a photograph of its building and people, identified itself as St Michael, Free Anglican Church of
