What we found

We searched for a congregation called Divine Grace Ministries in Gaborone and found no page, listing or mention that matches it. The name appears in other countries only, such as a Divine Grace Ministries International Facebook page based in Lomé, Togo, a directory entry in Benin City, Nigeria (Go Africa Online), and several unrelated ministry websites. The closest thing in Botswana is Divine Grace Gathering, a religious-organization Facebook page in Masunga, Francistown, with a different phone number and email, which is a separate town and a different name. Botswana church references we checked, including the Wikipedia overview of churches in Botswana and the Botswana Council of Churches member list, do not name this group. We found no scam reports, complaints or warnings about it either; the contact given is only a free Gmail address, and small Gaborone congregations often have no web presence at all.

Our conclusion: In response to our request, the congregation supplied a photograph of the building and gathering, a Facebook contact for Cornelius Molobeng, the name of its wider network (Divine Grace Ministries Outreach) and a pastor who can vouch for it, Pastor Tebogo Kgaodi. They also gave a consistent account of their history, describing a work that began in 1996 as an outreach ministry centred in Thamaga village before spreading to other parts of Botswana.

No further action is needed. This report is refreshed whenever the church is reviewed again.
