What we found

We searched for the church by name with its city and country and found one clear match: the World Orthodox Directory lists St. Sophia Orthodox Church at Wendo, Nakuru, Rift Valley, Kenya, under the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Alexandria, Metropolis of Nairobi (orthodox-world.org). The same directory shows a wider Orthodox presence in the area, including Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church in Nakuru, with a resident priest and service times, and an Archdiocese of Nairobi with dozens of listed parishes, so an Orthodox congregation in Nakuru is plausible. Our attempt to confirm the given Facebook profile returned only Saint Sophia parishes in the United States, Australia and Bulgaria, none in Kenya, so we could not verify that page or link it to this congregation. We found no news reports, denominational page of its own, or map listing, and no scam warnings, complaints or signs of a personal brand.
