- The name reads as a real congregation
- Contact email reviewed (gmail.com, common for small churches)
- The address given (solidrockbaptist.org) did not answer when we tried it, with and without www; a mistyped address says nothing about the congregation itself
- Independent web search performed: see the findings on the right
What we found
We searched for the church by name with its town and country, and the only match to Mulanje is a LinkedIn profile in the name of the contact person, Victory Kaminjolo, described as "Moderator @Solid Rock Baptist Church, Mulanje Malawi" and as an experienced lead pastor, with Mulanje given as the location; a second, near-identical profile for the same person exists (LinkedIn). We found no directory entry, map listing, news article, denomination register or Facebook page for a Solid Rock Baptist congregation in Malawi, and our attempt to confirm the name on that platform returned only unrelated American congregations. Warning: the website they gave, solidrockbaptist.org, is not theirs but belongs to Solid Rock Baptist Church in Berlin, New Jersey, USA whose own Facebook page lists info@solidrockbaptist.org and solidrockbaptist.org. We saw no fraud or scam reports; small Malawian congregations often have no web presence.
Our conclusion: An independent search found a LinkedIn profile for the contact person, Victory Kaminjolo, describing him as moderator and lead pastor of Solid Rock Baptist Church in Mulanje, Malawi, which matches the church name, town and leader given in this signup. The web address supplied, solidrockbaptist.org, in fact belongs to a different Solid Rock Baptist Church in Berlin, New Jersey, so that link appears to have been entered in error and should be corre
