What came back instead were other, differently named Kenyan denominations that merely share common words, such as the Full Gospel Churches of Kenya, founded in 1949 by Finnish missionaries (Wanderlog, Facebook) and the Redeemed Gospel Church, which began in the early 1970s in Mathare Valley, Nairobi (redeemedjwc.org, Nairobi News).
