What we found
We confirmed that the denomination itself is real and well established: its Facebook page describes the Pentecostal Assemblies of Zimbabwe as a Pentecostal church started in 1948, with over 4,000 followers and a head office listed at 118 Alexandra Drive, Hatfield, Harare, with a landline number (Facebook). Independent confirmation comes from a Kenyan university, which hosted a delegation of three PAOZ bishops in January 2022 led by Presiding Bishop Rev. Never Muparutsa (PAC University news), and a PAOZ congregation runs its own site, Jubilee Christian Center, describing itself as a Bible-based Pentecostal church of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Zimbabwe (jcc.co.zw). PAOZ assemblies appear elsewhere in the country, for example a Gwanda City Assembly page (Facebook), but we found no directory listing, map entry or news item for a specific PAOZ branch in Masvingo, nor any confirmation of the contact person behind the Gmail address given. Our conclusion: An independent search confirmed that the Pentecostal Assemblies of Zimbabwe is a real, long-established Pentecostal denomination founded in 1948, with a head office in Hatfield, Harare, an active Facebook page, and congregations across the country, and its leadership was publicly hosted by a Kenyan university in 2022.
