Church Verification Report
What we checked
- Not a duplicate: no similarly named church is listed with us
- The name reads as a real congregation
- Contact email reviewed (gmail.com, common for small churches)
- No website or social page was provided
- Independent web search performed: see the findings on the right
What we found
We searched for the church name together with Orange Farm and with South Africa, and found no listing that names "Maranatha Revival Church (MRC)" in Orange Farm Extension 2 specifically. The closest match is Maranatha Revival Group of Ministries, which describes itself as founded in 1984 at Orange Farms south of Johannesburg and gives a physical address at 1618 Extension 1, Orange Farms 1841, Gauteng, and which says it had planted 175 churches across South Africa and abroad by 2004 (maranatharevivalministries.org); we could not confirm that this is the same body as the congregation presented here. Other results with the same name belong to churches in Delaware (USA) and Doha (Qatar), not South Africa. We found no scam reports, complaints or warnings, and no sign of a personal-brand-only page; small township congregations often leave no web trace.
Our conclusion: An independent web search found Maranatha Revival Group of Ministries, founded in 1984 at Orange Farm south of Johannesburg with a physical address at 1618 Extension 1, Orange Farm, which closely matches this congregation's name and township even though no page names Extension 2 specifically. No website or social page was supplied and the contact uses a free email address, which is entirely normal for a township congregation in South Africa. Noth
