Church Verification Report

Reference FN-VET-0705-20261025  ·  Review date 2026-10-25
This document records the verification of
THE PROMISED LAND CHURCH (PLC)
Dar es salaam, Tanzania · listed since 2026-10-22
Verified

What we checked

  • Not a duplicate: no similarly named church is listed with us
  • The name reads as a real congregation
  • Contact email reviewed (gmail.com, common for small churches)
  • A YouTube page was provided; YouTube blocks automated reading, so it was weighed through the independent search
  • Independent web search performed: see the findings on the right

What we found

We searched for "The Promised Land Church" together with Dar es Salaam and Tanzania, and found no listing, news item, map entry or denomination register pointing to a congregation of this name in Tanzania. The only matches with similar names are clearly elsewhere, such as a Promised Land Church in San Antonio, Texas (its own site mytplcsa.org and a Facebook page) and Promised Land churches in Wisconsin and other US locations (plcwi.org, promiselandcm.org), none of them connected to East Africa. We also tried to confirm the provided YouTube channel handle directly, but it did not surface in search results, so we could not verify that the page exists, who runs it, or that it names this church; our servers cannot open the page itself. We found no scam reports, complaints or warnings tied to this church name or contact address. The findings are summarized here for space; the full research was weighed in the review.

Search conclusion: no evidence found. An independent web search is part of every review; an online page alone does not prove a congregation exists.
On our request, the church itself supplied additional evidence for this review; it was weighed in the verdict. See the appendix on page 2.

Our conclusion: The Promised Land Church responded to our request with a photo of its congregation, a YouTube channel link, and a named pastor with a Tanzanian phone number (Pastor Elisha Pilos, +255686029518), which together answer the question of whether a real group of believers meets in Dar es Salaam. An independent web search found no listing for a church of this name in Tanzania and could not confirm the YouTube channel, but very small Tanzanian congregati
