What we found
We searched for "City of Gilead church of God" together with Lagos and with Nigeria, and also alongside the contact name from the email address, and we found no page, listing or mention of a congregation by that name anywhere in Lagos or elsewhere in Nigeria. The results returned only unrelated bodies with similar wording, such as the Redeemed Christian Church of God's Mount Gilead Zonal Headquarters in Ikorodu, Lagos (bibletimes.app church directory) and the Balm of Gilead, Church of God Mission in Benin City (worldorgs directory, cgmglobal.org), none of which match the name given. Every Gilead church with a real website or Facebook page in our results sits in the United States or the United Kingdom. We saw no Facebook page, map listing, denominational register entry or news item tied to this church, and the only contact offered is a free Gmail address, which gives us nothing independent to verify. The findings are summarized here for space; the full research was weighed in the review.
Our conclusion: The name "City of Gilead church of God" reads as a normal congregation name and nothing about this signup looks like a business, a personal brand or a group outside historic Christian belief. However, our independent search found no website, social page, map listing or directory entry for this church anywhere in Lagos or Nigeria, and the only contact given is a free Gmail address, which leaves nothing we can check independently. A small Nigerian
We have asked this church for one piece of extra evidence: a photo, a link, its denomination, or a church that can vouch for it. The moment we can verify, this report is upgraded. Without a response, the listing is paused after 14 days.
