Reference FN-VET-0777-20261101  ·  Review date 2026-11-01
This document records the verification of
DAWNING LIGHT GOSPEL MISSION INTERNATIONAL
Ibadan, Nigeria · listed since 2026-10-30
Verified

What we checked

  • Not a duplicate: no similarly named church is listed with us
  • The name reads as a real congregation
  • Contact email reviewed (gmail.com, common for small churches)
  • The address given (https//:facebook.com/Dawninglightgospelmission_intl) did not answer when we tried it, with and without www; a mistyped address says nothing about the congregation itself
  • Independent web search performed: see the findings on the right

What we found

We searched for "Dawning Light Gospel Mission International" together with Ibadan and Nigeria, and we found no page, directory entry, map listing, news item or denomination register anywhere that carries this exact name in Oyo State. The results returned only unrelated bodies with similar-sounding names, such as Gospel Faith Mission International in Ibadan (Wikipedia, gofamint.org), Christ the Light Gospel Church Worldwide in Ibadan (Facebook), Dawning Light Ministries in Colorado (GuideStar) and Gospel Light Mission International in London and Florida (UK Companies House, GuideStar). Our attempt to confirm the given Facebook page failed: the address supplied is malformed ("https://https//:facebook.com/..."), and a search for the handle "Dawninglightgospelmission_intl" returned no matching page, nor did we find any version of the site on common site builders such as simdif.com, wixsite.com or blogspot.com. The findings are summarized here for space; the full research was weighed in the review.

Search conclusion: no evidence found. An independent web search is part of every review; an online page alone does not prove a congregation exists.
On our request, the church itself supplied additional evidence for this review; it was weighed in the verdict. See the appendix on page 2.

Our conclusion: The congregation responded to our request with a photograph of its building or gathering, a specific Facebook page address (facebook.com/dawninglightgospelmission_intl), a contact who can vouch for them, and the explanation that the fellowship began in April 2025, which accounts for the absence of any web footprint in our independent search. The originally submitted link was mistyped and our server could not open it, and social platforms routinel
