What we found
We searched for the church by name with Morogoro and with Tanzania. The Evangelical Lutheran Church in Tanzania is a well-documented national denomination: it is the federation of Lutheran churches in Tanzania, with more than 6 million members, and the largest Lutheran church in East Africa (Wikipedia, World Council of Churches, Lutheran World Federation). Morogoro is a recognised diocese within it , listed among the church's dioceses on its own site (elct.or.tz), and a diocesan directory entry gives a Morogoro bishop, postal box and phone numbers including P.O. Box 564 Morogoro and the address elctmgd@yahoo.com (elct.org). A local parish site also exists (elctkilakala.or.tz). We found no scam or fraud reports.
