What we found
We searched for "Open Heavens International Ministries" together with Jos and Plateau State and found no listing, page, address or news mention for any congregation of that name in Jos or anywhere in Plateau State (general web search, Wikipedia pages on Jos and Plateau State). Searching the name with "church" and "Nigeria" returned only clearly different bodies: a US-registered nonprofit called Open Heavens International Ministries Inc in Pacoima, California, tax-exempt since 2005, the Open Heavens International Center at Redemption City, Mowe, linked to the Redeemed Christian Church of God, an Open Heaven Deliverance and Prophetic Church International with roots in Benin City, Edo State, and ICGC Open Heavens Temple in Accra, Ghana. We found no Facebook page, map pin, denomination register entry or directory record for the Jos congregation, and no link between it and the Gmail contact address given. The findings are summarized here for space; the full research was weighed in the review.
Our conclusion: The name "Open Heavens International Ministries" and the Pentecostal style of the submission fit a typical independent congregation in Jos, Plateau State, and nothing negative such as a scam report or complaint was found against it. However, our independent search turned up no website, social page, map listing or directory record for a congregation of this name in Jos, and the similarly named bodies we found are clearly different organisations in
We have asked this church for one piece of extra evidence: a photo, a link, its denomination, or a church that can vouch for it. The moment we can verify, this report is upgraded. Without a response, the listing is paused after 14 days.
