God Loves and Watches Over You
Sofonias 3:17 (Almeida Atualizada)
Em palavras simples: God is right there with you. He is strong, He loves you, and He is so happy about you that He even sings!
Did you know God sings? Not with a guitar or a piano, but with joy about you. When you were still snoring under your blanket this morning, He was already glad you woke up.
Picture it: you pull on your socks, grab your backpack, munch your breakfast, and God is right there in the middle of it all. Not far away in the sky. Close. Like a strong friend walking beside you to school.
So if today feels a bit tricky, maybe a spelling test, maybe a friend who was grumpy yesterday, remember this. The God who made the stars is humming a happy song, and the song is about you.
✦ Momento do almoço
Em palavras simples: A real friend loves you all the time, not only when things are fun. And family sticks with you when things get hard.
Think about your best friend for a second. Maybe you sat next to them this morning, or maybe you are missing them today because they are on holiday somewhere else.
A real friend is not just someone who plays with you when everything is fun. A real friend is also there when you fall off your bike, when you feel sad, or when you forgot your lunchbox. God gave us friends and family so we would not have to do life alone.
And here is something cool. You can be that kind of friend too. This afternoon, look around. Is there someone who seems a bit quiet, a bit left out? A small kind word from you can make their whole day brighter.
Imagine the scene. Dusty road, hot sun, grownups pushing to get close to Jesus. Then some moms and dads bring their children over. The disciples try to stop them. Kids? Too small. Too noisy. Come back later.
But Jesus says, no, let them come. He does not send them away. He does not say, wait until you are older or wiser or quieter. He wants them right there, close to Him.
So after a long school day, when maybe someone told you that you were too little or too much, remember this. Jesus does not push you back. He calls you forward. You can come just as you are, tired shoes and all, and He is glad you came.
Salmos 121:3-4 (Almeida Atualizada)
Em palavras simples: God never falls asleep. He keeps watch over you all night long, so you can rest safely.
Have you ever noticed how quiet the house gets at night? The fridge hums a little. Maybe a car drives past. Your blanket feels soft and heavy. Your eyes get tired.
While you close your eyes, God does not. He never gets sleepy. He does not need a nap or a good night's rest. He is awake and watching over you, over your room, over your family, over the whole big world all at once.
So you can let go of today. The spelling test, the thing that went wrong, the friend you missed. You can hand it all to Him. He has got tonight covered. You are safe. You can sleep.
