The Explanation
Long, long ago, there was a special tent. A big, beautiful tent. It was called God's house.
Inside was a room. A dark, quiet room. Only one man could go there. His name was the high priest.
Once a year, he walked in. Slowly, carefully. He carried blood with him. Red blood, in a bowl. He brought it for all the people. So God and people could be close again.
Every year, the priest did this. Again, and again, and again. Because people did wrong things, again, and again.
What Does This Mean?
But then someone new came. His name was Jesus.
Jesus did not go into a tent made by hands. He went into heaven itself. And he did not bring blood from an animal.
He brought his own blood.
Just once. Not every year. Just one time, forever.
The Common Thread
Do you know why blood matters so much? Because life is in the blood. When something wrong happened, someone had to give up a life to make it right again.
Animals could not really wash hearts clean. Their blood only cleaned the outside.
Jesus is different. Jesus is God's own Son. When he gave his blood, it was enough. It cleaned hearts on the inside too.
The Bible says he came "to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself." Just once. It is finished.
And one day, Jesus will come back. Not to die again. He will come to bring home everyone who is waiting for him.
For You
Imagine waiting for someone you love. You look at the door. You watch, and watch, and wait.
That is how we wait for Jesus. Not scared. Not worried.
Because he already did the hardest part. He already gave everything.
You do not need to bring anything to God. No bowl of blood, no gift. Jesus already brought what was needed.
You can just come close. Sit near him, like on a lap. Talk to him. He hears you.

Moses sprinkled the book itself. The scroll holding God's commands got blood on it before a single command was ever kept. Even the law needed covering. Sit with that. If the perfect words of God were sprinkled, how much more you? Nothing you carry is too holy, or too ruined, to need the blood.
Even the first covenant had "ordinances of divine service and an earthly sanctuary." God gave His people a room they could walk into, and walk back out of. He met them somewhere, in dirt and goat hair and gold. He has never asked for worship that floats free of the body. But notice that word, earthly. Something better was coming, and the ache that tent stirred in them was real.
Once a year. One man. And even he could not walk in empty handed: "not without blood, which he offers for himself, and for the errors of the people." The priest carrying Israel's sin needed covering first. Then came Jesus, with nothing to offer for himself, so he offered himself for you.
Now these things having been thus prepared, the priests go in continually into the first tabernacle, accomplishing the services." Day after day, the priests entered. Same rituals, same rooms, never finished. It never reached God's presence itself.
That word "continually" carries a quiet ache. Something was always incomplete. Do you feel that too, the sense that your efforts never quite arrive? The good news is that Christ walked past the first tent, straight into the Holy Place, once, for you.
