The Explanation
There was a girl. And a boy she loved very much.
She said, I wish you were close to me. Close like family. Then I could hug you. Then I could kiss you. And no one would say, no, you cannot.
She wanted to hold his hand. She wanted to walk with him under the trees. Under the apple tree, she said. Right there.
Her arms went around him. His arm went under her head. Soft. Warm. Safe.
She said to her friends, do not wake up love too soon. Let it wait. Let it grow, slowly, slowly, like the sun coming up.
What Does This Mean?
Love is a big, strong thing. She said, love is strong. Strong like nothing can stop it.
Not water. Not even a flood. If water came, so much water, love would still be there. It would not go away.
That is what she felt for him. A love like fire. A love that stays.
The Common Thread
Long, long ago, this love was only a little seed. But God had planted a much bigger love, before the world began.
God loves his people like that. Strong. Not washed away by floods. Not put out by fire.
Jesus came to show that love with his own hands and feet. He held children close. He said, I will not leave you. Waters could not stop him. Not even dying could stop him.
His love for you is like that too. Strong as strong can be. It stays.

Think of someone who holds you close. Mama. Papa. Someone who says, I love you, and means it.
That is a little picture of God's love. He holds you too. Under his arms, safe and warm.
You do not have to be big or brave for that. You just have to be you.

She dreams of a love not hidden in the shadows but welcomed at the family table. Notice how longing and honor walk together here. Real desire wants to be brought home, not kept secret.
