God Loves You Every Day
God's loving care
Four short Bible moments for children, based on Psalm 33:5, Proverbs 16:9, Genesis 45:4 and Psalm 63:7.
☀ Morning moment
He loves righteousness and justice. The earth is full of the loving kindness of Yahweh.
Psalm 33:5 (World English Bible (WEB))
In simple words: God loves it when things are fair and kind. His love is everywhere, like sunshine on a Saturday morning.
Maybe you woke up without an alarm today. No rushing, no backpack, just a quiet morning stretching ahead of you. Listen, there is something good hiding in this ordinary Saturday.
God's love is not far away in church only. It is in your kitchen when someone makes pancakes. It is in the garden, in your dog wagging its tail, in your favorite game waiting to be played. Wherever you look today, God's kindness is already there, like sunshine filling a room.
You don't have to earn this day. God just gives it to you, full of little good things. Maybe you'll build something, ride your bike, or just sit with your family. Whatever you do, God is glad you are His.
Your turn
Today, tell someone at home one good thing you are looking forward to doing.
✦ Lunch moment
A man’s heart plans his course, but Yahweh directs his steps.
Proverbs 16:9 (World English Bible (WEB))
In simple words: You can make plans for your day, but God is the One who really leads you along the way.
Maybe you already know what today looks like. Build something with Lego, ride your bike, bake cookies with dad, or just lie on the couch and read. Saturdays are full of good plans.
But sometimes plans change. It starts raining right when you wanted to go outside. Your friend cannot come over after all. That can feel disappointing, even a little annoying. Yet even then, God is still with you. He sees the change in your plans and He knows what is actually good for this day, even the surprises you did not choose.
Your turn
Today, when something does not go the way you planned, tell God about it and ask Him what you could do instead.
✩ Afternoon moment
Joseph said to his brothers, “Come near to me, please.” They came near. He said, “I am Joseph, your brother, whom you sold into Egypt.
Genesis 45:4 (World English Bible (WEB))
In simple words: Joseph told his brothers who he really was, even though they had once been mean to him and sent him away.
Think of a Saturday afternoon with your family around the table, maybe playing a game or just talking. Joseph had not seen his brothers in years. They had once thrown him in a pit and sold him away, but Joseph did not hide from them or stay angry forever.
He said, come close. He wanted them near, not far away. That takes courage, especially when someone has hurt you before.
Your turn
Maybe you had a fight with a brother, sister, or friend this week. You do not have to pretend nothing happened. But today, try one small thing, like Joseph did. Sit a little closer to someone in your family, or share a snack with them.
☾ Evening moment
For you have been my help. I will rejoice in the shadow of your wings.
Psalm 63:7 (World English Bible (WEB))
In simple words: God helps you, just like a mother bird covers her babies with her wings to keep them warm and safe.
Maybe today was a lazy Saturday. You played outside, built something, or just hung around the house with your family. Now the day is almost over, and your pillow is waiting.
Think of a bird folding its wings around its baby chicks at night. Warm, soft, safe. That is what it is like when God is near you. You don't have to see it to feel it. He is right there, close, watching over you while you sleep.
Your turn
Before you close your eyes tonight, whisper a quiet thank you to God for this day.
