Four short Bible moments for children, based on Psalm 113:3, Proverbs 15:1, 1 Samuel 3:10 and Psalm 91:4.
☀ Morning moment
From the rising of the sun to its going down, Yahweh’s name is to be praised.

In simple words: From morning to night, all day long, we can say thank You to God.
You rub your eyes open, and the sun is already shining through your window. Breakfast is waiting, your backpack is by the door, and school is just a little while away. Big day ahead, right?
Here is something cool. God does not only care about the big, important moments, like tests or games. He is with you from the very first yawn to the last goodnight. Brushing your teeth, tying your shoes, waving at a friend on the way to school, God sees all of it, and He is glad you are His.
Your turn
That means you do not need a special place or special words to talk to Him. A quick thank You while you eat your cereal is enough. Before you leave the house today, whisper one quiet thank You to God for this new day.
✦ Lunch moment
A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.
Proverbs 15:1 (World English Bible (WEB))
In simple words: If someone is upset, a soft kind word can calm them down. But a sharp, mean word makes things worse.
Think about lunchtime. Maybe someone bumps your tray, or your brother says something annoying. What comes out of your mouth first?
It is so easy to snap back with a sharp word. But a gentle answer, said calmly, can turn the whole moment around. It is like pouring water on a small fire before it grows big.
You do not need loud words to be strong. Soft words can be even stronger, because they bring peace instead of a fight.

Today, if someone is grumpy or annoying, try answering with one calm, kind sentence instead of snapping back.
✩ Afternoon moment
Yahweh came, and stood, and called as at other times, “Samuel! Samuel!” Then Samuel said, “Speak; for your servant hears.”

In simple words: God called Samuel's name at night. Samuel answered, I am listening, I am ready to hear You.
School is loud. Bells ring, friends shout, the teacher talks, and your backpack feels heavy by the time you walk home. Your head is still buzzing with all that noise, even now.
Samuel was just a boy, sleeping in the quiet temple at night, when he heard his name. Not once, but three times. He did not know it was God calling, until he learned to listen with his whole heart. Then he simply said, I am listening.
Your turn
God still speaks in quiet moments, maybe while you are doing homework, or lying in bed tonight. Right now, sit still for one minute, take a deep breath, and whisper, I am listening, God.
☾ Evening moment
He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart.

In simple words: God covers you like a soft feathery blanket. You can hide close to Him, safe and warm, all through the night.
Think about a baby bird tucked under its mother's wing. Warm, small, hidden, safe from the wind and the dark. That is what God does for you tonight.
Maybe today was busy, with homework or running around outside after school. Maybe something felt a little scary, a strange noise, a worry that popped into your head at bedtime. You do not have to carry that alone. God's wings are big enough for all of it.
You do not need to fight the dark or figure everything out. Just breathe slowly and let your body sink into your pillow. God is not sleepy. He stays awake so you can rest.
