God Cares For You Always

God's Loving Care

2 weeks ago For children 4 Bible verses

Four short Bible moments for children, based on Matthew 6:26, Proverbs 15:23, Luke 19:3 and Psalm 3:3.

☀ Morning moment

See the birds of the sky, that they don’t sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren’t you of much more value than they?

Matthew 6:26 (World English Bible (WEB))

In simple words: Look at the birds outside your window. They don't plant food or store it, but God still feeds them every single day. You matter to God even more than they do.

You hear a bird chirping outside while you pull on your socks. That little bird has no lunch box, no fridge, no mom packing snacks. Yet somehow it gets fed every single day.

God takes care of tiny sparrows on your street. He also takes care of you, on your way to school, at your desk, on the playground with your friends. Nothing you need today is too small for Him to notice.

Your turn
So today, when you walk out the door, whisper thank You to God for breakfast, for your backpack, for the friends waiting for you at school.

✦ Lunch moment

Joy comes to a man with the reply of his mouth. How good is a word at the right time!

Proverbs 15:23 (World English Bible (WEB))

In simple words: When you say the right words at just the right moment, it makes everyone feel good.

Right now you are probably sitting with a sandwich or some soup, maybe next to your brother or a friend. Have you noticed how one little sentence can change the whole table? A joke at the right moment makes everyone laugh. A kind word at the right moment makes someone feel better.

God made words powerful. Not loud words, just well timed ones. Maybe someone at your table looks a bit down today. You do not need a big speech. Just a simple, well timed word can be like sunshine breaking through clouds.

Your turn
This afternoon, watch for one moment when a kind word fits perfectly, and say it out loud to that person.

✩ Afternoon moment

He was trying to see who Jesus was, and couldn’t because of the crowd, because he was short.

Luke 19:3 (World English Bible (WEB))

In simple words: Zacchaeus wanted to see Jesus, but he was too short and the crowd was in the way.

Maybe you know that feeling. You stand behind everyone at the school gate and cannot see what is happening. Or your friends are taller and you feel small next to them. Zacchaeus felt that too. He really wanted to see Jesus, but the crowd blocked him.

Zacchaeus did not just give up. He ran ahead and climbed a tree. It probably looked a little silly, a grown man up in the branches. But he did not care. He just wanted to see Jesus.

Jesus saw him anyway, even hidden in the leaves. You do not have to be tall or loud for Jesus to notice you. He looks past the crowd, straight at you.

Your turn
Today, think of one thing that makes you feel small, and tell it to God in a short prayer.

☾ Evening moment

But you, Yahweh, are a shield around me, my glory, and the one who lifts up my head.

Psalm 3:3 (World English Bible (WEB))

In simple words: God is like a shield all around you, keeping you safe. He lifts your head up when you feel small.

Think about your favorite blanket, the one you pull up to your chin at night. It wraps around you and you feel snug and safe inside it.

God is even closer than that blanket. He is like a shield all around you, on every side, while you sleep. Nothing can sneak past Him to reach you. Even when the house is dark and quiet, He is awake, watching over your bed, your family, your whole street.

And if today was a hard day, if you felt small or sad about something, God lifts your head up gently, like a dad tipping your chin so you look at him. You are not alone tonight.

Your turn
Whisper one thing that made you feel small today, and tell God about it before you close your eyes.
