God Hears You and Helps You

God's Loving Care

2 days ago For children 4 Bible verses

Four short Bible moments for children, based on Psalm 34:4, Ephesians 4:32, Mark 10:51 and Psalm 91:1.

☀ Morning moment

I sought Yahweh, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears.

Psalm 34:4 (World English Bible (WEB))

In simple words: When you feel scared or worried, you can talk to God about it. He listens, and He helps take your fear away.

Maybe your tummy feels a little funny this morning. Maybe there is a test, or you are not sure if your friend will sit with you at lunch. That wobbly feeling is normal.

Did you know you can just tell God about it, right now, while you are putting on your shoes or eating your toast? You do not need fancy words. You can simply say, God, I feel nervous about today. The Bible says that when people did that, God answered them and took their fear away.

You do not have to carry that wobbly feeling alone all day. God is already walking with you to school, into the classroom, onto the playground.

Your turn
Before you leave the house today, whisper one thing you feel nervous about to God, right out loud.

✦ Lunch moment

And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you.

Ephesians 4:32 (World English Bible (WEB))

In simple words: Be kind and gentle with others, and forgive them, just like God forgave you because of Jesus.

Maybe someone bumped into you in the hallway this morning, or took the last seat you wanted at lunch. Little annoying things happen all the time at school, don't they?

God knows that. That's why He tells you to be kind, even when something small bugs you. Not fake kind, but really gentle, like you understand the other person is having a day too. And when someone says sorry, you get to forgive them, just like Jesus forgives you every single day, even for the stuff you don't say sorry for out loud.

Your turn
This afternoon, when something small annoys you, take one deep breath and choose kind instead of grumpy.

✩ Afternoon moment

Jesus asked him, “What do you want me to do for you?” The blind man said to him, “Rabboni, that I may see again.”

Mark 10:51 (World English Bible (WEB))

In simple words: Jesus asked a blind man what he wanted. The man said, I want to see again.

Think about today after school. Maybe someone asked you, how was your day, or what do you want for a snack. Simple questions, but someone cared enough to ask.

Jesus asked a blind man a question too. He could have just healed him right away. But Jesus stopped, looked at him, and asked, what do you want? The man said, I want to see. And Jesus gave him exactly that.

Jesus still asks you that question. Not with words out loud, but He is interested in what is really on your heart, your worries, your wishes, even the small ones. You matter enough for Him to ask.

Your turn
Tonight, tell one person at home one thing you wish for, big or small.

☾ Evening moment

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

Psalm 91:1 (World English Bible (WEB))

In simple words: When you stay close to God, it is like resting in a cool, safe shadow. Nothing bad can reach you there.

Today was a full day. You went to school, you ran on the playground, you did your homework, you talked and laughed with your friends. Now it is evening, and the house is getting quiet.

The Bible says God has a secret place, like the cool shadow under a big tree on a hot day. When you climb into bed tonight, God spreads His shadow over you. You do not have to be afraid of the dark corners of your room. You are not alone, even when the lights go out and everything is silent.

Your turn
Before you close your eyes, whisper to God one happy thing that happened today.
