God Cares For You Always
God's Care
Four short Bible moments for children, based on Proverbs 16:3, Psalm 107:9, Mark 2:4 and Psalm 139:7.
☀ Morning moment
Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed.
Proverbs 16:3 (World English Bible (WEB))
In simple words: Tell God about your day before it even starts. He will help you with everything you do.
Your shoes are by the door. Your bag is packed. Maybe there is a math test today, or a friend you had a small fight with yesterday. Big day, little heart.
Before you rush out, you can whisper something to God. Not a long speech, just a quick word, like you would tell mom or dad what is on your mind. God is already awake, He never slept, and He already knows exactly what your day looks like.
When you give your plans to God, He walks right into that day with you. The test, the friend, the recess game, all of it. You are not doing today alone.
Your turn
Before you leave the house, tell God one thing you are hoping for today.
✦ Lunch moment
For he satisfies the longing soul. He fills the hungry soul with good.
Psalm 107:9 (World English Bible (WEB))
In simple words: God sees when you are hungry and He loves to fill you up with good things.
Right now your tummy might be rumbling. Maybe you smell sandwiches, or soup, or something your mom packed in a lunchbox. That hungry feeling is normal, and God made your body that way on purpose.
But God does not just care about your tummy. He notices when your heart feels empty too, like when you are tired of school, or nobody sat next to you, or the morning felt too long. God fills hungry souls with good things, not just hungry tummies.
So while you eat lunch today, you can quietly think of one good thing God gave you this morning, maybe a laugh, a hug, or sunshine on the walk to school.
Your turn
Tell one person at your table one good thing that happened to you this morning.
✩ Afternoon moment
When they could not come near to him for the crowd, they removed the roof where he was. When they had broken it up, they let down the mat that the paralytic was lying on.
Mark 2:4 (World English Bible (WEB))
In simple words: Four friends carried a sick man to Jesus, but the house was too full to get inside. So they climbed up, made a hole in the roof, and lowered him right down to Jesus.
Think about climbing up on a roof with a friend who cannot walk. That is strange and a little bit crazy. But that is exactly what these four friends did. They did not give up when the door was blocked. They found another way in, just to get their friend close to Jesus.
Maybe today someone in your class needed help too. A friend who forgot their lunch, or someone who looked sad on the playground. You do not need a rooftop. Sometimes just sitting next to someone, or sharing your snack, is enough.
These friends believed Jesus could help, so they kept going. You can trust that too, even when something feels hard to fix.
Your turn
Today, do one kind thing for a friend who needs help, even something small like sharing or including them in a game.
☾ Evening moment
Where could I go from your Spirit? Or where could I flee from your presence?
Psalm 139:7 (World English Bible (WEB))
In simple words: Wherever you go, even into the dark bedroom at night, God is already there with you.
The lights are out now. Maybe your room looks a little different in the dark, shadows in the corner, strange shapes on the wall. Today was a busy Monday, school, homework, maybe a snack with your sister or brother. Now it is quiet.
God was with you this whole day, even when you forgot about Him while doing math or playing outside. And He is still here now, in the dark, next to your bed. You cannot go anywhere where God is not already waiting for you. Not under your blanket, not in the dark hallway, not in your dreams.
Your turn
Before you close your eyes, whisper one quiet thank you to God for something from today.
