God Is Our Safe Strong Tower

Safe in God

Archive For children 4 Bible verses

Four short Bible moments for children, based on Proverbs 18:10, Ecclesiastes 4:10, Mark 5:28 and Psalm 139:2.

☀ Morning moment

Yahweh’s name is a strong tower: the righteous run to him, and are safe.

Proverbs 18:10 (World English Bible (WEB))

In simple words: God is like a strong tower. When you run to Him, you are safe.

Maybe your shoes are still untied and your backpack is only half zipped. Maybe you are thinking about a math test, or wondering if your friend will sit with you at lunch. Big morning, right?

Here is something good to know before you even walk out the door. God is like a strong tower. Not a tower made of stone, but one made of His love and power. When you feel small or worried, you can run to Him in your heart, just like running inside on a rainy day. He will not turn you away.

Your turn
Before you leave the house today, whisper one quick thing to God, like 'be with me today' or 'thank You God'.

✦ Lunch moment

For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and doesn’t have another to lift him up.

Ecclesiastes 4:10 (World English Bible (WEB))

In simple words: If a friend falls down, you can help them back up. It is sad to fall with nobody there to help.

Have you ever tripped in the hallway carrying your lunch tray, while everyone turned to look? Your face goes hot, and you just want someone to help you up fast.

Today's Bible words talk about exactly that feeling. When someone falls, a real friend does not walk past, they stop and help them stand again. And falling is not only about tripping, sometimes a friend feels down inside, left out, or forgotten, and that hurts just as much.

Your turn
This afternoon, if you see someone sitting alone at lunch or looking sad, go sit with them for a few minutes.

✩ Afternoon moment

For she said, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be made well.”

Mark 5:28 (World English Bible (WEB))

In simple words: A sick woman believed that just touching Jesus' coat would make her better. She was right.

Think about a crowded hallway after the last bell rings. Everyone pushing to get out, backpacks bumping, nobody really seeing you. That is what it was like around Jesus that day. So many people, all wanting something from Him.

But one woman had been sick for years. She did not push to the front and shout. She just reached out, quietly, and touched the edge of His coat. She believed that was enough. And it was. Jesus felt it, even in all that noise.

Your turn
You do not need loud words or perfect prayers to reach Jesus. A small, quiet moment is enough for Him to notice you. Today, try whispering one quiet "thank you" to Jesus before dinner.

☾ Evening moment

You know my sitting down and my rising up. You perceive my thoughts from afar.

Psalm 139:2 (World English Bible (WEB))

In simple words: God knows when you sit down and when you stand up. He even knows what you are thinking, right now, as you get ready for bed.

Maybe your legs are tired from running around after school today, or your eyes are already a little heavy. That is okay. The day is done, and now it is time to slow down.

God saw you all through this Monday. He saw you at breakfast, at school, at dinner, and now He sees you here, brushing your teeth or climbing into bed. He even knows what you are thinking right now, and none of it scares Him away. He just wants to be close to you, tonight and always.

Your turn
Before you close your eyes, tell God one thing that happened today, something good or something hard, and know that He was listening.
