God's love shines all day
God's faithful love
Four short Bible moments for children, based on Zephaniah 3:5, Proverbs 16:32, Mark 10:15 and Psalm 121:4.
☀ Morning moment
Yahweh, within her, is righteous. He will do no wrong. Every morning he brings his justice to light. He doesn’t fail, but the unjust know no shame.
Zephaniah 3:5 (World English Bible (WEB))
In simple words: Every single morning, God brings good and right things into the world. He never forgets. He never messes up.
Look out the window for a second. The sun came up again! Did you have to remind it? Nope. God did that, just like He does every morning.
The Bible says God brings something good to light every single morning. That means today too. Maybe it will be a joke that makes your friend laugh at lunch. Maybe it will be finally getting that tricky math sum right. Maybe it will be a hug from someone at home.
God never has an off day. He never sleeps in. He never forgets about you while you brush your teeth or pack your bag. He is already busy making good things ready for your Friday.
✦ Lunch moment
One who is slow to anger is better than the mighty; one who rules his spirit, than he who takes a city.
Proverbs 16:32 (World English Bible (WEB))
In simple words: Someone who stays calm when they feel angry is even stronger than a mighty warrior who wins a whole city.
Imagine a superhero who can lift cars and knock down walls. Pretty strong, right? But the Bible says there is someone even stronger. It is the person who can stay calm when they feel angry inside.
Maybe this morning someone bumped your lunchbox, or a friend said something that stung. Your tummy got hot. Your hands wanted to push back. That fiery feeling is real. But holding it in and choosing kind words? That takes real muscle.
You do not have to do it alone. God helps you when you ask Him. This afternoon, if something bugs you, try taking one slow breath first. That tiny pause is where the superhero strength lives.
✩ Afternoon moment
Most certainly I tell you, whoever will not receive God’s Kingdom like a little child, he will in no way enter into it.”
Mark 10:15 (World English Bible (WEB))
In simple words: Jesus said that to belong to God's Kingdom, you have to come like a child, with open hands and a trusting heart.
Picture the scene. Parents are pushing through the crowd with their kids. The disciples try to send them away. They think Jesus is too busy, too important for little ones. But Jesus stops everything.
He wants the children close. Not later, not when they are older or know more Bible verses. Right now. He says grown-ups should actually learn from kids how to come to God.
Maybe today after school you felt small. Maybe someone said you were too young to help or too little to understand. Jesus sees it differently. Being a child is not a problem to Him. It is exactly the way He wants you to come. With your questions, your giggles, your tired feet. All of you.
☾ Evening moment
Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
Psalm 121:4 (World English Bible (WEB))
In simple words: God never falls asleep. He is always awake, watching over you, even when the whole house is quiet and dark.
The week is almost done. Tomorrow is Saturday, no school, maybe a slow morning with cereal in your pajamas. But first, this night. Your pillow, your blanket, the little sounds of the house settling down.
Here is something amazing. When you close your eyes and drift off, God does not close His. He does not yawn. He does not need a break. While you sleep, He stays awake, watching over you like the kindest guard you could ever imagine.
So you can let go of today. The things that went well, the things that felt hard, the friend stuff, the schoolwork. You do not have to hold any of it tonight. God is holding you, and He is not going anywhere.
