Four short Bible moments for children, based on Psalm 118:1, Psalm 92:1, Mark 2:4 and Psalm 139:11-12.
☀ The morning moment
Give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever.

In simple words: Say thank you to God, because He is so good! His love for you never runs out, not ever.
Wiggle your toes. Stretch your arms up high. It's Saturday! No rushing, no backpack by the door. Just a whole day stretching out in front of you like a big open field.
Maybe you'll build a fort with pillows. Maybe you'll help dad with pancakes, or play in the garden, or ride your bike. Maybe you'll just snuggle on the couch. All those good things are little gifts from God, tucked into your day.
God's love for you doesn't take a day off. It was there yesterday, it's here right now while your hair is still messy, and it will still be there tonight when you climb back into bed. His kindness just keeps going and going.
✦ The lunch moment
It is a good thing to give thanks to Yahweh, to sing praises to your name, Most High.

In simple words: Saying thank You to God is a really good thing to do. Singing songs to Him makes Him happy.
Look at your plate for a second. Bread, cheese, maybe an apple, or something warm someone made for you. Somebody shopped, somebody sliced, somebody set it down in front of you. And before all of that, God grew the wheat and the fruit.
Saturday is a great day to notice things. You have a bit more time. No rushing out the door. You can really see the sunshine, the people around your table, the taste of your food.
The Bible says thanking God is a good thing. Not because He needs to hear it, but because it does something inside you. It makes your heart lighter. Try it after lunch. Say one small thank You. See what happens.
✩ The afternoon moment
When they could not come near to him for the crowd, they removed the roof where he was. When they had broken it up, they let down the mat that the paralytic was lying on.

In simple words: Four friends wanted to bring their sick friend to Jesus. The house was too full, so they made a hole in the roof and lowered him down.
Picture it for a moment. You are on the roof of a house with three friends. Below you, Jesus is teaching. Your friend cannot walk, and the door is packed with people. So you start digging. Dust everywhere. Bits of straw falling on the heads inside.
The four friends did not give up. They carried their friend up. They broke through a roof. All because they believed Jesus could help him. And Jesus did. He healed the man, right there on his mat.
Maybe today, on a quiet Saturday, you can think about your own friends. Who could use a little help? Who could you bring closer to Jesus, just by praying for them?
☾ The evening moment
If I say, 'Surely the darkness will overwhelm me; the light around me will be night,' even the darkness doesn't hide from you, but the night shines as the day. The darkness is like light to you.
Psalm 139:11-12 (WEB)
In simple words: Even when it gets dark in your room, it is not dark for God. He sees everything, and He sees you. The night is like daytime to Him.
Your Saturday is almost over. Maybe you played outside for a long time, or watched a movie with your family, or helped make pancakes. Now your pajamas are on and your bed is waiting.
When you turn off the light, your room looks different. The chair becomes a shadow. The curtain moves a little. But God sees your room the way it looks in the daytime. For Him, the dark is not dark at all.
He sees your face on the pillow. He sees your feet under the blanket. He knows you are tired, and He is glad you came home safe. You can close your eyes now. He is watching, and He is not going anywhere.
