Four short Bible moments for children, based on Psalm 145:8, Proverbs 3:27, Luke 19:8 and Psalm 91:4.
☀ The morning moment
Yahweh is gracious, merciful, slow to anger, and of great loving kindness.

In simple words: God is kind and patient. His love for you is huge, bigger than you can imagine.
Think about your favorite person at home. Maybe it's your mom, your dad, or a grandparent who always has time for a hug. Even the best hug on earth is only a tiny piece of how much God loves you.
Today is Monday. A new school week begins. Maybe there's a spelling test, or a friend you had a fight with on Friday. God is not grumpy about Mondays. He is kind and patient, ready to walk right into the day with you.
When you tie your shoes, remember: God is slow to get angry and full of love. That love goes with you to your desk, the playground, and back home again.
✦ The lunch moment
Don't withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in the power of your hand to do it.

In simple words: When you can do something kind for someone, just do it. Don't hold back the good thing you could give.
Halfway through the day! Maybe your morning was fun, maybe a bit bumpy. Either way, there is still a whole afternoon ahead of you.
This little proverb is like a nudge. If you notice someone needs help, and you can help, then help. Share a cookie if you have two. Hold the door open. Say hi to the kid who eats alone. Lend your pencil when someone dropped theirs.
You don't have to do huge things. God gives you small chances all day long, like tiny doors you can walk through. When you spot one this afternoon, just go for it. You'll probably make someone's day brighter, and yours too.
✩ The afternoon moment
Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, "Behold, Lord, half of my goods I give to the poor. If I have wrongfully exacted anything of anyone, I restore four times as much."

In simple words: Zacchaeus told Jesus he would give half of his stuff to the poor, and pay back four times as much to anyone he had cheated.
Imagine your school bag stuffed with everything you own. Now imagine tipping half of it out on the floor for kids who have nothing. That is basically what Zacchaeus did that afternoon.
He used to be the guy nobody liked. He took extra money from people and kept it for himself. But then Jesus came to His house for lunch, and something inside him melted. He wanted to make things right.
Jesus did not shout at Zacchaeus or give him a long lecture. He just came close. And being near Jesus changed Zacchaeus from the inside out. Maybe you have felt that too, that being with Jesus makes you want to be kinder, softer, more honest.
☾ The evening moment
He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart.
Psalm 91:4 (WEB)
In simple words: God keeps you safe like a mother bird covers her little chicks with her soft, warm wings. You are safe with Him.
Have you ever seen a little bird tucked under its mother's wing? All you can see is a tiny beak peeking out. The rest is hidden, warm and safe under those soft feathers. Nothing can get to the little bird there.
That is a picture of you tonight. Your day is done. Maybe some things went well, maybe some things were hard. Now you can climb under God's big, warm wings.
He is not tired. He does not fall asleep. While you close your eyes and your breathing gets slow and soft, He is right there watching over you. Your room, your bed, your family, all under His care. You can let go now. You are safe.
