God Made You With Love

God made you

2 weeks ago For children 4 Bible verses

Four short Bible moments for children, based on Psalm 100:3, Psalm 118:24, Mark 10:14 and Psalm 4:8.

☀ Morning moment

Know that Yahweh, he is God. It is he who has made us, and we are his. We are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Psalm 100:3 (World English Bible (WEB))

In simple words: God made you and you belong to Him. You are His, like sheep that belong to a good shepherd.

It is Saturday. No alarm clock rush, maybe pancakes for breakfast, maybe still in your pajamas. You get to just be you today, running around the yard or building something with blocks.

Did you know that you belong to God, even on a lazy Saturday? He made your laugh, your hands, your favorite games. You are not just anybody. You are His, like a lamb that belongs to a kind shepherd who watches over it all day long.

Today you might play with a friend, help in the garden, or just relax on the couch. Whatever you do, you are held by God, safe and loved, all through this whole day.

Your turn
Tell someone in your family one fun thing you want to do today.

✦ Lunch moment

This is the day that Yahweh has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it!

Psalm 118:24 (World English Bible (WEB))

In simple words: God made this very day, today. He wants you to be happy and enjoy it.

Saturday mornings feel different, don't they? No rushing, maybe pajamas a little longer, maybe pancakes instead of toast. It is easy to think a day off is just empty time to fill. But God made this exact day on purpose, with your name on it.

Think about what makes today good. Maybe it is playing outside, building something with blocks, riding your bike, or just sitting with your dog. Little things like that are gifts too, not only the big exciting ones. God is not far away on Saturdays, He is right there while you play.

Being glad is not about pretending everything is perfect. It is noticing the good things God already put in your day and saying thank you for them.

Your turn
Do one fun thing today and say out loud, thank You God for this day.

✩ Afternoon moment

But when Jesus saw it, he was moved with indignation, and said to them, “Allow the little children to come to me! Don’t forbid them, for God’s Kingdom belongs to such as these.

Mark 10:14 (World English Bible (WEB))

In simple words: Jesus wanted the children to come close to Him. He said nobody should stop them, because God's kingdom belongs to children too.

Have you ever wanted to show someone something exciting, but they said, 'not now, I'm busy'? That feels a bit disappointing, doesn't it? Grown-ups get busy sometimes, even the ones who love you.

Jesus was never too busy for children. When people tried to keep them away, He stopped everything and called them closer. He wasn't waiting for you to grow up first. He said God's kingdom already belongs to children, just as they are, loud voices and muddy shoes and all.

Your turn
This afternoon, tell Jesus one thing about your day, out loud or quietly in your heart.

☾ Evening moment

In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety.

Psalm 4:8 (World English Bible (WEB))

In simple words: When it is time to sleep, you don't need to be afraid. God keeps you safe all night long.

Saturday is winding down. Maybe you played outside all day, or built something, or just did nothing much at all, and now your pajamas feel warm and soft. The house is getting quiet. Someone turns off the lights, one by one.

Did you know God never turns off His light? While you close your eyes, He stays awake. He is not far away in the sky somewhere. He is right there, close to your bed, close to your heart, watching over you like a dad checking on his sleeping child one last time before turning in himself.

Your turn
You don't have to hold onto anything to feel safe tonight. Not a toy, not a nightlight, nothing. God is holding onto you. Before you fall asleep, whisper a quiet thank you to God for this whole Saturday.
