God Cares for You Always

God's care

1 weeks ago For children 4 Bible verses

Four short Bible moments for children, based on Psalm 46:5, Proverbs 12:20, John 11:35 and Psalm 23:2.

☀ Morning moment

God is within her. She shall not be moved. God will help her at dawn.

Psalm 46:5 (World English Bible (WEB))

In simple words: God is right there with you every single morning. As soon as the day starts, He is already helping you.

The alarm goes off, and suddenly it is a whole new day. Shoes to find, breakfast to eat, a bag to grab before school. Some mornings feel rushed, like everything happens too fast.

But here is something good to know. Before your feet even hit the floor, God is already there. He did not wait for you to wake up and say good morning first. He was already awake, already close, already ready to help you with your maths test, your friends at break, everything.

You do not carry today alone. Whatever this Thursday brings, God is right beside you in it, from the first yawn to the last bell.

Your turn
Before you leave the house today, take one deep breath and quietly say to God, 'thank You for being with me today.'

✦ Lunch moment

Deceit is in the heart of those who plot evil, but joy comes to the promoters of peace.

Proverbs 12:20 (World English Bible (WEB))

In simple words: People who try to trick others feel bad inside. But people who make peace feel happy.

Think about your morning so far. Maybe someone pushed in line, or a friend said something a bit mean. What did you do? Sometimes it feels exciting to stir up trouble, to whisper a secret or leave someone out. But that kind of excitement never lasts, it just leaves a yucky feeling.

God says something surprising. Real joy does not come from winning an argument or being sneaky. It comes from making peace. That could be as small as sharing your seat, or saying sorry first, or inviting the lonely kid to play.

Your turn
This afternoon, look for one chance to make peace instead of trouble, and take it, even if it is small.

✩ Afternoon moment

Jesus wept.

John 11:35 (World English Bible (WEB))

In simple words: Jesus cried because His friend Lazarus had died. Even Jesus, who is so strong, let His tears fall.

Maybe today at school someone left you out, or your best friend was busy with someone else, and you felt that little ache inside. It is okay to feel that way. You do not have to pretend everything is fine when it is not.

Jesus had a friend named Lazarus who died. Jesus knew He could bring him back to life, but first, He just stood there and cried. Real tears, right in front of everyone. Jesus was not too big or too important to be sad. He felt it all the way through, just like you do.

That means whenever you are sad, Jesus understands, because He has felt it too. You are never crying alone.

Your turn
Tell someone at home one thing that made you feel sad or lonely today.

☾ Evening moment

He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters.

Psalm 23:2 (World English Bible (WEB))

In simple words: God is like a good shepherd who lets you rest in soft grass and leads you beside calm, quiet water.

Think about the softest place you know, maybe your bed with the blanket pulled up high, or the couch when you are extra sleepy. God wants you to have a soft, safe place too. He is not far away tonight. He is close, like a shepherd who watches his sheep while they sleep in the grass.

Sheep cannot fall asleep if they are scared or if the water is rushing fast. So the shepherd finds them quiet water and soft grass. God does the same for you. He quiets the noisy thoughts in your head, the worries about tomorrow, the little arguments from today. He leads you to still water inside your heart.

Your turn
Before you close your eyes, whisper one thing you are thankful for from today to God.
